  • Physiotherapists are well trained in physically testing for injuries, and they generally do the testing fairly regularly to monitor your progress. If you cannot persuade your family doctor to examine you, or if his examination is very cursory, inform your physiotherapist of this and ask if he or she would mind recording examination results regularly and writing a "medico-legal" report for you once you are doing better. A physiotherapist expects to be paid for preparing this report. Most lawyers pay for physiotherapists' reports and usually recover this cost from ICBC as part of your settlement or court award.

    Chiropractors and massage therapists will also provide reports that disclose their physical findings.
