Judge awards $120,000 for chronic pain, balance and hearing problems

Ms. Gulati was a pedestrian who was struck by a car in Surrey when she was 53 years old. After 6 years at her trial she continued to suffer from chronic pain. She also had ongoing balance and hearing problems. These injuries will likely affect her for the rest of her life.

Before the accident, Ms. G. was a friendly, outgoing person. She has become more withdrawn. She is also easily irritated. This has caused problems for her and her family.
On March 20th, 2015 Mr. Justice Gaul awarded her $120,000 for her pain and suffering. The impairment of her family and social relationships factored strongly for a large award.
